You will be joining a small energetic close knit team with a ‘startup’ mentality in a nurturing, fun and creative culture. Canvas is already well-known in the industry, with a reputation for harvesting high quality leads from global brands like AirBNB, VitaCoco, Amazon and Xbox to name a few. Canvas is also part of a wider company, Location Collective, the UK’s leading film and production space location agency. Working together in our open plan collaborative office we are a formidable force in the filming and events industry. Our central London office is at 55 Broadway in St James Park. Our team generally work Monday to Friday and with 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely.
Working alongside the Growth Manager, your main responsibility will be to help contribute to our growth by prospecting for the latest exciting venues in London and generating more leads and opportunities for the team. You will also be responsible for helping us to build our sales intelligence data by conducting research calls with our event production clients that use our platform daily, as well as venues that secure bookings, to determine the full value that they are generating through our platform.
This is a unique opportunity for career progression as you will embark on a programme of learning and development and shadow the current team to learn all about the events industry and get a taste of the different roles you can progress into within the business. We see this person being promoted and to progress into either a face to face business development role, meeting all the top venues in London, or acting as our inhouse concierge ‘Matchmaker’, helping high end clients match their important events with the right venues in London. There is huge scope here for the right person to grow at a fast pace.
Setting up meetings with good fit prospects around the Growth Manager’s diary
Conducting discovery calls with outbound leads to identify their suitability as a customer
Writing compelling email sequences demonstrating the value of our product and most importantly addressing the pain points of the prospects
Setting up cadences to systematically communicate with the relevant stakeholders in order to generate meetings for the Growth Manager
Identifying London’s newest-opened and most exciting event venues and establishing whether they are a good fit for the platform
Gathering information on who the relevant contacts and stakeholders are within these venues to fill your pipeline
Adding information to our CRM and updating existing records
Calling our existing customers and event production clients to get feedback on the platform which informs future development and discover the value they are generating from Canvas
Sharing this data with your colleagues to help with the sales cycle and customer retention
As we scale you will learn the ropes of the Business development and Matchmaker roles with a view to progressing into one of these
You will receive training on the job from learning how the platform works and the value it provides venues to learning about the various systems we use. We’re looking to scale fast so it’s important that you’re a fast learner and highly self-motivated.

Experience working in any sales role
An ability to work as part of a close-knit team

Confidence selling over the phone and in person
