Lead the ongoing development and improvement, as well as day‐to‐day configuration, support, and maintenance of our CRM, Salesforce for Nonprofit and other database applications and systems. Work collaboratively with leaders of various departments, as well as subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes. Serve as an administrator, technical project manager, and analyst for Salesforce data. Provide application and integration support and maintenance to meet business needs actively. Ideal candidates will have a record of success in implementing, improving processes, and adopting integrations using the Salesforce platform.


 Serve as the primary Salesforce system administrator.
 Present 90‐day discovery and assessment of Salesforce and integrated systems/platforms with recommendations for solutions.

 Integrate Salesforce with third‐party applications; ensure the integrity of data integrations and manipulations. Develop and maintain custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, workflows, and page layouts. Responsible for batch uploads, exports, and updates of data.

 Work closely with subject matter experts across multiple departments to identify, develop, deploy, and evaluate CRM processes and how it fits with 4africa's donor journey. Develop suitable procedures to support administrative, development, and change management activities.

 Leverage data‐driven insights to advise on audience segmentation and personalized communications across digital channels.

 Identify and manage contractors as needed, ideal candidate will have a network of potential contractors.
 Evaluate and understand organizational business processes and requirements to recommend appropriate database solutions used and maintained by 4africa.

 Implement solutions based on the department's business needs.
 Analyze data and collaborate with other departments to develop reports, dashboards, and processes to support business operations.

 Respond to and resolve database access, security, and performance issues.
 Evaluate and test new products and software applications
 Complete regular internal system audits; prepare and implement software upgrades
 Train new users to help grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization
 Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

 Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
 Minimum two years of experience as a Salesforce System Administrator
 Previous Salesforce implementation experience required including the integration of system such as

MailChimp, Zapier, Asana, Formidable, Taroworks, Classy, WordPress, etc

 Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADX201C) certification required. Advanced Administrator Certification
(ADM211 or ADX211E) preferred

 Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption
 Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom dashboards, and other content of complexity

 Strong knowledge of Salesforce best practices and functionality
 Strong data management abilities
 A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion

 Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude
 Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests
 Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem‐solving skills
 Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
 Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, distill high‐ level information into details

 Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and all upstream and downstream applications, systems and processes

 Candidate should have experience and understanding of the unique data needs of nonprofits

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
