As a Business Development and Account Manager for O-I, you will be responsible for strategic accounts and account/business acquisition in a defined category across all channels. You will work on short and mid-term business strategy and performance (delivering the month, quarter and year per plan). You will manage the sales and service relationship with accounts based on product category and revenue.
Monitor the customer's financial situation in order to safeguard the interests of the company;
Adapt the mix of products to the real needs and potential of each market, aiming at the strategic interests of the company and customer satisfaction;
Monitor the activities of the competition, aiming to provide the company with information;
Achieve sales volumes (EBIT, Revenue, Physical Volume) committed in the company budget;
Analyze and validate sales forecasts informed monthly by customers;
Define and negotiate prices to be practiced for each client / product in order to maintain the competitiveness of our products and segment profitability;
Identify opportunities to prospect commercial investments that generate business for the segment;
Identify projects to convert other packaging materials to glass;
Identify opportunities for cooperative actions with / among clients that add value to the CIV business;
Establish broad relationships with various market sectors;
Maintain motivated and targeted team for business outcome;
To update and report to the board of directors regarding the risk of competition pertinent to the business;
Maintain the average payment term and the default percentage of the segment within the company's goal.
Generates plans to ensure broad penetration into mid-level accounts within assigned territory.
Understands complex customer requirements on both business and technical level.
Generates, develops, and closes sales opportunities with focus on most profitable mid-level accounts.
Develops presentations to resolve/address customer issues.
Develops effective strategies for winning in a competitive environment.
Owns and fully manages requests for pricing/contracts.
Meets and exceeds quarterly sales targets.
Provides input and educates product management, marketing and manufacturing organization on customer needs and issues.
Frequently travels within multi-state territory.
Progressively more responsible for prospecting, qualifying and landing new customers / new business
In this position you will report to the Category Sales Leader.
Any geography in the U.S. will be considered but preference will be given to anyone willing to relocate or who lives near one of our main hubs (Perrysburg, Ohio; Portland, Oregon; California)”
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent discipline
4 - 10+ years of sales/marketing experience
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
